North Carolina - AKC National Agility Championships
Well, I've been in North Carolina since Thursday afternoon, leaving early Wednesday morning, for the AKC National Agility Championship. It is one of the biggest agility competitions in the nation, and people have come from all over the country, as far as California - that's coast to coast!!
I am not participating this year, as I have only just begun competining in agility. I have been videotaping a ton and will be making a video of the trip.
There have been some great runs so far this weekend, and with tomorrow being the last day, it's sure to be a good one!!

Results from NADAC agility trial 3/21/09-3/22/09
Blitzen, Solar, and I competed in our first NADAC agility trial. More importantly, this was Solar's first agility trial! So how did they do?
Blitzen, in typical fashion, did a phenomonal job! He qualified 9 out of 11 runs, and has already earned himself a NADAC title, TN-N (Novice Tunnelers)!! Nice job, Blitzen!!!
Solar had a rough start to the weekend, only qualifying 1 out of 5 runs on Saturday, but then on Sunday he did a fantastic job, qualifying 4 out of 6 runs, for a total of 5 out of 11! Not bad for a dog adopted only in July! Solar is definitely an "Awesome Aussie"!!!
I couldn't be prouder of my kids! Way to go, boys!

Blitzen gets his AX!
Blitzen and I were at an AKC agility trial today in Amherst Junction, WI. He qualified in Standard earning him his AX title and has now been moved up to Excellent B. Since he's in Excellent B for both Jumpers and Standard, he has no more move-ups left to do in AKC agility! Good boy, Blitzen!! I'm a proud papa!
Video of today to come soon.

Upcoming Events
This weekend is an agility filled weekend. Friday, Blitzen and I will be competing in an AKC trial up at Camp Bandy in Amherst Junction, WI. Then on Saturday and Sunday, Solar and Blitzen both compete in a NADAC trial, in Madison, WI. This will be our first stab at a NADAC trial and, more importantly, this will be Solar's first agility trial!! It might be an interesting trial as Solar and I haven't been able to practice in a couple of weeks. But I can guarantee that he'll have a lot of fun!
Check back after the weekend for the trial results and, hopefully, a video from the weekend.

Twin Cities Pet Expo
This past weekend, Solar and I performed with the Minnesota Disc Dog Club (MNDDC) at the Twin Cities Pet Expo. Solar did a phenomenal job and we had loads of fun playing frisbee all weekend long! Hanging out with the folks of MNDDC is always a blast.
As soon as any video is put up from the expo, I will provide a link to it. Check back soon.
